There would be more except I obviously can’t can’t past 2. Maybe Addie can tutor me with my counting.
The sections are numbered and the color depends on the number. I hadn’t worked on this project for a while so when I picked it up this morning, I was very thankful my Ravelry project page had good notes. Too bad I didn’t notice I had two #3 entries. I continued using Button Jar Blue but when I got to the next section, it said “Color #5”. Wait a minute . . what happened to color #4? Then I went back to my notes and saw what had happened.
After an hour of knitting, and about 30 minutes of ripping back, I was back to knitting on the right color again. Then, Vince said “Let’s go get the oil changed in your car.” I’ve yet to figure out why we both have to go but . . you know me . . I can’t count past 2. 🙂
When he worked . . in fact, up until this oil change, I’ve always done it by myself. Now I have to go with him, or he has to go with me.
There’s a drive in quick oil change type place in town that we’ve always used and I think it was about $48 to get the oil changed there. The last couple of times I’ve been, I wasn’t real happy with them and the last time I went, I was unhappy enough that I called them and talked to the manager. He was pretty unfriendly and said “What can I say? My employees are stupid!” Really? I think I’ll go somewhere else next time. So, I told Vince I was going to take my car to the Toyota place from now on for oil changes. He called and they’re $60 for an oil change. If I get my oil changed in Joplin, MO, it’s free because I bought the car there. Another reason to be in Missouri every three or four months, right?
There’s another place in town that changes oil so Vince went by and talked to them earlier this week. I think it was $32 and the place was nice and clean and the people were nice. They also do tires and there were two cars ahead of us getting tires changed today so we had to wait close to two hours. I had my knitting so I was fine . . Vince . . not so fine!
I got a good bit of knitting done while waiting. I never mind waiting for doctors or oil changes or anything so long as I have my knitting.
Now we’re back home. We’ve had our dinner and I hope to spend the rest of the night knitting. I need to figure out what the next colors are that I will use for the Adventurer Wrap so I can go wind them before dark.

I had a bad experience the last time I took our truck to the dealer for an oil change. after every visit they send a survey so I filled it out explaining why I was not happy. The manager called me about the survey and his only concern was that my low score had gotten him in trouble with corporate- no discussion about what his team had done wrong. I was the one who was at fault

We always used Kwik Kar until we bought this car and we had to have it done at the Chrysler place. We bought a 3 time deal from them. With the new oil you only have to change it about once a year or when the car tells you to. I like that!!

The place near me is $32, too. I like the people there a lot. It’s important to like the people who serve us, and waiting 2 hours isn’t that big a deal if you do. It’s eternity if you don’t!
