My project for the Quarter Two Knit Along is going to be Comfort Fade Cardi but I’m going to have the stockinette side show instead of the reverse stockinette side that’s shown. These were the colors I had chosen in the initial planning stages but I wasn’t 100% happy with these colors.
I want it to be a dark, winter type sweater but I’m not sure this isn’t too dark. I dug through the stash and came up with options yesterday.
I’m not sure the green may interrupt the fade. Here’s the green moved to the left one spot and there are only four yarns used.
I may like this arrangement better. The yarn on the left (indiecita) of the green and the one on the right of the green (Zarzamora). I may end up going back to the original plan. I don’t want to order more yarn! I’ll keep playing with the choices. There’s one more color of Rios that I have somewhere here and haven’t been able to find. I’d like to put it with the others and see what I think but who knows if I will find it in time.

What if you moved the first green on the left, one step over, the order would be B,B,G,B,G, then the other colors.

Maybe try of the four colors in the last picture put the green first, then fade through the purples.

I do like the addition of the green with those colors.

I think I like the original colors better. I’m not against green, and maybe with your experience you can tell more about how these will fade, but the green feels like it interrupts things, in either spot. There’s too much green in them.

That was what I thought too after seeing the picture. You’ll see in a later post that I totally scrapped that idea and am going with different yarns.
