This is such a fun project. I’ve knitted through January 11.
Since I’m knitting two rows per day, you see where I had 6 rows of purple and 8 rows of orange. That represents three days and four days with the temps staying within the two different temp “zones.
I think it’s going to be about 56″ wide, not counting the fringe. Eight rows are about equal to one inch. With two rows per day, that’s 730 rows, then I’ll probably do one row of the Tumbleweed (the white-ish peach color I used for the ribbing) between each month so that’s another 12 rows for a total of 742 rows. That makes it 92″ long. That’s a bit longer than I was hoping it would be.
I think what I’m going to do is just skip weekends. That would be 52 x 5 = 260 x 2 rows per day 520 plus the 12 rows for monthly dividers = 532 and at 8 rows per inch, that would make the finished wrap 66″ which is about what I was hoping for so . . 5 days per week and skipping weekends . . that’s what I’m going to do.

I love this idea – I’m going to have to try something similar in crochet. Not now, though – I have too many projects going as it is at the moment. I’m looking forward to seeing your progress and the end result!

I started a temperature afghan in crochet at the beginning of January. I’m just doing the high temperature for the even days of the month. I wish I had done every day. I was afraid it would get too long. I live in Canada

I understand. Once I did the math, I realized mine was going to be too long so just dropping the weekends, I think will make mine an acceptable length. Good luck with yours!
