Rita loves Vince. It’s so obvious that she thinks he’s the best thing ever . . even though I’m the one who makes her yummy dog food!
She is not a snuggler. She never likes to be held. She won’t sit with us. She likes to know we’re close but she doesn’t want to be too close.
Last night Vince was watching TV and he said “look at this!” I looked up from my knitting and she was all snuggled up with him.
He had his hand on her and she seemed perfectly comfortable. She sat there probably 20 minutes.
I wish she liked being held. Old Speck couldn’t get close enough and he always wanted to be sitting with me. I miss that! I miss him!

My Biscuit (a pug) isn’t a snuggler but she wants to be in the same room with me all the time. I miss my last pug. She was a snuggle bunny.

Dogs are so funny sometimes. I love it when they call cats persnickety, dogs are the same way. Wow, Vince I can really tell that you lost a lot of weight, Congratulations and keep at it.

Our Ralph, a rescue terrier, only likes to be held when HE wants to be held. And you cannot snuggle him much. Usually only for a brief time too.

Different animal, but…I had a cat that was not a snuggler, at least for the first several years of her life. Eventually, she became a real lap cat. Even to the point that when I’d go away for a weekend, she’d be in my lap as much as possible for the next couple days.

And didn’t she ride home from the vets on the seat next to his leg?
