One of the Eat, Sleep, Knit badges is for making a blanket over 1,000 yards. I’ve been wanting a small blanket just to put over my legs and feet during the cold evenings. Of course, it will not be finished in time for this winter but there’s always next winter! I had to the bulky weight yarn, or almost all I needed, to make All These Places.
I had six skeins of Malabrigo Mecha, which means it will count for the Malabrigo March projects but seven skeins is only 910 yards so for the badge, I needed more. I ordered two more and that gives me 1,170 yards. I’m not sure I’ve ever ordered Malabrigo yarns at different times and had them match. Sometimes, they’re like two totally different colors. I wasn’t optimistic that my different dye lots would be close but they are almost perfect.
The new one is on top of the old one I had used for the first couple of repeats on the blanket.
This is the easiest pattern . . so easy that I’m not paying close enough attention and have had to rip back twice. What a waste of time. I think I have my rhythm going now and hopefully, can get through this without any other mistakes.
I’d love to have this finished by the end of the weekend.

I just finished making a white baby blanket in the same pattern with a 6:6 repeat. Really fast.

That’s a pretty pattern and a pretty color, too.
