I’m not complaining, even though it probably sounds like it. The only reason I am not complaining is because it isn’t really THAT cold here and when I remember how much snow some of you have dealt with or, are dealing with, I feel like a wimp.
But . . it is so darned cold. There’s no sun. The wind is blowing. It’s around 32 now; it’s going to be 23 tonight. I have on socks and slippers and my toes are cold. I have on a fleece lined jacket (in the house!) and I’m still cold. Vince says he’s warm and he’ll squawk if I turn the heater up more. My trusty weather station tells me it’s 67 inside the house. That’s cold . . I’m turning the heat up.
Liz, a reader, sent me a link to a recipe for Roasted Asparagus Soup. The asparagus is roasting now. Soup sounds really good on a day like this. Thanks, Liz!
We were having leftover grilled tuna for dinner and I hadn’t decided what veggies to fix. Asparagus soup and salad!
The soup was delicious and I’ll make it again. I didn’t want to mess with getting the VitaMix out of the cabinet so I just used a pot on the stove after roasting the asparagus in the air fryer, then I used the immersion blender and it worked just fine.

I have an electric lap size blanket I got on Amazon for this very reason.
