Vince and I were laughing the other night . . when thinking of places we might want to end up living, most people would put good medical care at the top of the list. We have “an Aldi nearby” at the top of our list!
We have so much fun in that store.
I love basil and I love pesto so when I found this Pesto Gouda, I grabbed one. Vince said “Get two” and I said “But you don’t like pesto!” and he said “I do too like it!” He never did before but apparently he does now.
I used our handy dandy cheese melter and the pesto gouda was delicious!
I got these olives there and when we went back to get more, they only had one package left. There are several different kinds in there and they’re so good.
It says “soft ripened triple cream blue cheese”. I didn’t think I would like it because I can eat blue cheese dressing, I love blue cheese/cream sauce on my steak but there are some blue cheeses that are just too strong for me. We heated this one like we do brie and used celery sticks to eat it (since we can’t have crackers) and it was delicious.
Those are out Aldi finds for this week. Some days we go in and don’t find anything outstanding but last week was a great shopping experience at Aldi.

We love Aldi too. It took me years to convince my husband to go there when he grocery shopped because of the shopping cart routine and bagging your own. Once he got over that, he became a convert. I’m still working on him at the miscellaneous aisle though. I love to stand and browse there. My favorite find was a porcelain clad cast iron griddle. It is perfect for steaks and burgers when it’s too cold to grill outside.

That pesto gouda looks amazing! We have at least two Aldi stores in my city, but they aren’t nearby and I’ve never been to one. Might have to change that!

If I don’t want to buy much, I don’t go in Aldi! The good thing is that what I buy, even when it’s a lot, is way less than any other store.
