I hope I don’t have to go anywhere tomorrow because I probably won’t be able to move! Vince will probably be worse than I am since he’s still out there working. He’s tilling up a new blueberry bed since the original spot he had made had a limestone shelf about 3′ down.
What I wouldn’t give for a few 18 wheeler loads of pine straw to help get the pH down in this soil.
The garlic is doing great. I thought I might be seeing some scapes by now but I’m not. It can’t be long til they start spurting up.
I planted the rest of the onions. A month or so ago we bought three bundles of onions and I had planted one and now they’re all planted.
I also planted Dwarf Siberian Kale. I laughed and said “I guess our climate is so much like Siberia, it should do well here.”
I also planted Chinese Multicolor Spinach. This one is supposed to be somewhat drought tolerant and slow to bolt.
I planted a bit of lettuce (Mesclun mix) and will plant more in a couple of weeks. Consecutive plantings work well til probably the end of March and then it will be too late for lettuce here.
Someone has to get up and fix dinner . . I guess that would be me! I’d rather go take a nap but probably should do dinner. Then I can knit!

Oh my .. .well hot shower,, Ben Gay or whatever you use for sore muscles and Advil or whatever you use … My turn is coming soon … We still have cold weather and snow on the Western Slope of Colorado. So next month, we are hoping that it will stay above 32 degrees so we can put some fresh soil and get the worms a going along with some fertilizer. I did put leaves on the 5 raised boxes that we have last fall, so we will be good there ..Must do a PH test before doing anything for sure.
Happy knitting !!!
