I wonder if I’ll learn to spell the name of this pattern by the time I’m finished knitting it. Probably not. I just can’t get the “flow” of it and have to look it up every time.
I also wonder if ever my knitting for the day will come anywhere near the goal I set for myself each day. Without even planning to do it, almost every night when I put my knitting away, I formulate in my head what I think I will get done the next day. The plan almost always involves (1) get a load of laundry started (2) spend about half an hour picking up or dusting . . start knitting and knit the rest of the day.
That rarely happens. I don’t know why! In my head, it seems like that’s how it should go. Yesterday morning, I knew we had to run to town but I thought we’d be home before noon and I’d be knitting by 1. Nope, I didn’t start knitting til 5 p.m. Why does it always happen like that.
My plan for yesterday was to finish the knitting on these two sleeves. I keep wanting to call them socks because they look so much like socks at this point. See the progress marker? That’s all the knitting I got done yesterday. Typical knitting day it seems.
My plans for today . . finish knitting on these sleeves.

I had that same problem with my Snoqualamie shawl a couple of years ago. It’s a local place name, so I probably SHOULD be able to spell it, but I second guess myself and just can’t keep it straight.

I’m the same way, whether it’s at work, my quilting, or my housework

LOL, that’s how my quilting goes, too, and all the rest of my days. Of course, laundry takes all day, because I forget about it down in the basement. =)
