Last night I worked late into the night to get the second sleeve done on my Linho. It had not been started but after doing the last post, not knowing what I wanted to work on, I convinced myself to finish that project. At ESK, there’s a badge for “Long Haul Project”. It’s something that has to have been started at least 9 months ago. We all know I have plenty of those long hibernating projects. I had looked at Linho in my projects and saw that I had started it in September so I almost went digging for an older project so I could get the badge but in the end, the project bag was sitting right in front of me so I grabbed it, removing the sleeve stitches from the waste yarn and started knitting.
I finished the book I was listening to. Vince had already gone to bed. I was very sleepy. Thinking I only had the ribbing left to do, I was determined to finish that sleeve last night . . but I couldn’t. I got too tired so I went to bed, still thinking I should get up and knit 14 more rows just to be done, but I didn’t so I finished it this morning. I still have to weave in the ends, soak and block.
But, as I was picking up the living room, I thought . . I could not have started that sweater in September because it sat around forever and I knitted the first sleeve when I was at Chad’s in October. I went back to my Ravelry projects.
It was September alright but it was 2017 when I started it so it will earn me the Long Haul badge!
I’ll get some photos soon.

I’m curious if you did the short or long sleeve and did you use linen? I bought some linen mix and thought about this sweater with short sleeves for spring-summer. But the linen I bought feels like thin burlap or rope. I understand it washes and feels soft, but yuk. I handled the cake and cast on some stitches, but it’s just not for me. Glad you could leave the sleeve for finishing today. I used to be able to knit till 2 or 4 a.m. after work, but no more. Trying to knit for relaxation and the peace I have while knitting, and not being so manic I have to keep going forever. Love that pattern, probably bought it when you mentioned on your blog.
