There were yarn packages that were supposed to arrive Saturday. They didn’t. My Informed Delivery email said they were going to be delivered. They had left Lubbock on Thursday morning so, usually that would mean they arrived in Abilene Thursday evening, then Brownwood on Friday morning and got delivered on Friday. Vince went up to the highway and opened the gate so the mail lady would deliver them. By 4:00 p.m. I hadn’t seen the mail lady so I checked tracking. The last entry was “left Lubbock” and it was about 4:30 a.m. on Thursday. Great . . didn’t this just happen to me with a yarn package?
I figured since it was priority mail, it would arrive Sunday and the Post Office would deliver it but I wasn’t about to ask Vince to go open the gate again so I assumed the regular mail carrier would deliver them on Monday. Then I remembered Monday (today) was a postal holiday so I figured I would get them tomorrow.
Shortly before 4 p.m., I got a text that the packages were at the gate. I said “I have to run up to the gate!” Vince said “I’ll go!” Well, dang it! Two boxes from Eat, Sleep, Knit . . not good . . especially since a third one may arrive tomorrow.
So . . here’s what I got and again, this isn’t necessarily to show you what I bought but for me to be able to find the info when I need it.
#1 – Shibui Echo (color: Velvet) to make Stoa. I actually bought enough to make two.
#2 – Cascade Eco Plus (colors: Charcoal Gray & Aporto) to make Almina (two actually – getting a head start on Christmas gifts for Addie’s teachers next year).
#3 – Malabrigo Rios (colors: Purpuras, Zarzamora, Indiecita and Winter Lake) to make a Comfort Fade Cardi. I’m pretty excited about this one but it’s for the 2nd Quarter KAL at ESK so I can’t start it til April 1.
That’s it . . that’s what arrived today.

Those are all absolutely beautiful!! All those colors would be pretty on you if you decide not to do something for the teachers.

Gorgeous yarns! I’m using Purpuras as one of the colors for my 2nd Quarter KAL project too.

One of the benefits of being away from home for several weeks is not ordering yarn – I don’t want to have to worry about packages arriving when I’m not there:) Unfortunately I’ll probably make up for it when I hit the yarn shop in Georgetown.

That purple is really delightful and the blue under it, too.
