I hope that isn’t wishful thinking. I plan to stay up tonight til I finish this shawl. For some reason, Vince was up and making noise at 5:30 this morning. I had been in bed for 3.5 hours but I got up so that meant I felt justified in taking a nap this afternoon. I told Vince “I’m going to take a short nap!” The words Rita most recognizes are “food” and “nap”. She ended up running into the bedroom so she and I took a nap.
I have five hours left on my book (Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult) and in that amount of time, I should be able to finish the shawl.
See the scale? I’m so afraid I’m going to run out of yarn. I keep weighing the skeins after each row. The rows continue to get longer and it’s going to be very close. I have a plan to be able to finish even if I do run out of the tan and brown . . just hope I don’t run out. Since this is a test knit for the Aziz Shawl by Ambah O’Brien, I seriously want to make it exactly according to the pattern but if I run out . . I run out!
