Almost no matter where you live, the weather is weird. People say in Texas, if you don’t like the weather, wait til tomorrow but I’ve heard that in every state we’ve lived or visited.
Our high today was supposed to be 81 but I don’t think it made it that high. It did yesterday but it was sunny yesterday. Today it’s overcast and humid! We’ve had the air conditioner on the past two days. Then a freeze tomorrow night and “a bit of rain and sleet” on Friday. I can only hope it doesn’t interfere with the delivery of my chest! 🙂
Hopefully the sleet with be minimal and the temps won’t fall below 32. In Louisiana when we had an ice storm that knocked everyone’s power out for a week or longer, the temps were only about 29 and we had just a bit of sleet but it was enough to bring limbs down on power lines and even though, the next day, it was warm and sunny, the damage was done.
So, 81 degrees one day, a couple of days later, it’s 27 degrees and the next day, there’s sleet.
When the propane guy was here a week or so ago, I told him “We have some really cold temps in the forecast and I didn’t want to run out of propane in the greenhouse”. He grinned and said “That will change. The forecast is always wrong!” He was right. I don’t get too worked up about the weather. I will turn the heat on in the greenhouse for those cold nights and put the heat lamp on for Cat but other than that . . we take whatever Mother Nature has to give!

We are thinking this is the coldest winter we’ve ever experienced in Arizona. A high of 41 degrees today and a forecast low of 22 tonight! But it could be worse, minus 15 in Montana!

Nothing else we can do!!

I don’t think our temp went much over zero today. Not supposed to be much better tomorrow, only with wind so wind chill will be around -25. Now aren’t you glad you’re in Texas? LOL

Its snowing as I type, both of my daughers (one in Denver and one in Utah) are getting snow also. The mountains shut down the trucking company he works for over the weekend and absolutely no one brought freight in or out of Colorado at least for who he works for due to the weather in the mountains.

Well, this will make for a varied temperature scarf! BTW, you inspired me to make a temperature quilt! (Two, since we don’t have a huge range of temperatures here; I’m also doing one for where my father-in-law lives in Michigan).

Nineteen degrees here this Thursday morning–way, way too cold for Arizona!

It’s a lot easier to find a reason to be grateful for what we have than to worry about what we might get. =) I watch the weather, because of my water pipes, and I’m grateful that the weather along I-40 appears to be relatively nice next week, but otherwise, we haven’t learned to control it, so we might as well just enjoy it!
