I think Vince needs overalls! What do y’all think?
I forgot what’s supposed to go into that spot he’s been working on. He tilled it up, a week or so ago, then tilled it up again, and now he’s put all the decomposing straw and droppings from the chicken coop in there. When he cleans out the coop, he piles it just outside the fenced yard area. He’ll water it and till it all up to mix it and then after 9 months or so, he’ll add it to the garden and till it in. Oh . . I think I was going to try to plant lettuce and kale in there but with a couple of 80 degree days already coming up, it’s probably too late to plant those things here.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it more but I’m so excited about his new energy and enthusiasm about the garden. He always tilled it up for me but it was an effort to get him out there. He’d till it up once and then I’d wait about a week and then ask him to till it up again. Now, he’s out there working and I’m saying “Don’t do so much! It can wait!”. Today he said “There’s so much to bed one!” and I said “What gets done gets done. Don’t overdo it.”
In the picture, he’s pouring sand, and then he’s going to till that in with some acidifier and that’s going to be the blackberry patch!

Definitely get Vince a pair of overalls. He is losing weight so quickly, they would be more comfortable!! He is doing a great job!

My husband wears overalls all the time. Well most of the time. I get his from Dickies over the internet. He loves them, and they are less expensive there. He really likes the stripped ones like the railroad men used to wear! He has about 3 or 4 pairs of blue ones and 2 pairs of the stripped ones! They are also very durable. Have lots of pockets for everything!

Someone came home one day with a pair of new overalls and said he wanted them to become “short-alls”! He wears them with a white t-shirt in the summer, is very happy and has pockets for everything he needs to stay outside all day long!! And wears a broad brimmed hat. CUTE! LOL

Overalls are a great look! Comfortable and practical, too. How wonderful to have your garden almost ready to go.
