In this new test knit, I had to do a turkish cast on. I had never done that and when I first read the instructions, I thought . . this is kinda weird. After I did it . . it’s amazing. I love learning new things.
Above is the wrong side. The cast on is right in the middle lengthwise and I’m knitting from both sides. You can’t even see the cast on!
This is the right side and, again, you can’t even tell there’s a cast on in the middle lengthwise. That is the neatest cast on I’ve ever seen!
Isn’t that yarn pretty? Love it. I’ve had this yarn since October, 2014. Now, it’s $2.50 more per skein so if I use all 8 skeins, I will have saved $20. I should buy more yarn! 🙂

That is very cool! The yarn color reminds me of port wine cheese…love that stuff! Can’t wait to see what you’re making!

I used that cast on when I knit my last pair of socks. Love it.

I will have to look this cast on up. Everytime I make a new hat, I try a different cast on.

I’ve heard of this cast on, but never saw how it was done. Do you have to use a circular needle to apply this type of cast on?
