This morning Vince wanted to go to town. My plan was to get everything I need in town tomorrow because I’m getting a hair cut. All I needed was a couple pounds of chicken livers to make more food for Rita. Nope .. that wasn’t how it was going to happen. Vince needed to go to town today.
We ran by McDonald’s for breakfast. I am no fan of McDonald’s and would do just about anything to keep from eating there but their breakfasts are not bad for the keto diet.
I had a sausage muffin, and removed the bread, and a side order of scrambled eggs. This is what I always get. Vince had a coupon to buy one/get one Egg McMuffin so he did that. We both drank water.
$5.95 for both of us to eat breakfast. Can’t beat that. Now that most (maybe all) McDonald’s serve breakfast all day, this will be our go to stop for all meals while traveling. Thankfully, we don’t travel much!
Seems sad to waste all that good bread. The muffins were about my favorite part of eating at McDonald’s before the diet but . . those days are over.

Your chickens would love the bread!
Judy Laquidara says
Bread isn’t good for chickens. We never give it to them.

They do have good sausage!!
dezertsuz says
The sausage is tasty. So you eat the cheese, too?
Ethelann Wood says
Hi from ethelann, ask them to “hold” the bread, you will not be the first to do so. My grads are vegetarians so we ordered cheeseburgers without meat.

“No bun” is the way to order for gluten-free meals. Then the food comes in the packaging without the bun, often with a fork included.
Judy Laquidara says
Obviously you’ve never been to our McDonald’s. We’re doing good to get what we order without giving any special instructions. It’s MUCH easier to remove the bun than try to convince them we want something “weird”.
