The hardest part of doing a test knit for me is to keep quiet about it and not show what I’m working on. I only test knit for designers whose work I love . . as in love everything they make so I never fear that I won’t like the piece, plus, I always see it first.
Here’s a little sneak peak of what I’m working on. It’s going to be gorgeous and all I want to do is sit and knit but I don’t want my uncle thinking I’m a lazy one who only wants to sit and knit . . which is true but at this point, he thinks I’m a hard worker so I’ll try not to do anything to change his mind . . especially since he’s about the only one in my family that seems to like me these days. I used to think it was weird how families squabbled all the time because it seems so easy NOT to squabble but . . who knows any more.
At this point, my uncle is enamored with Vince because he’s working so hard out so even if he thinks I am a lazy bum, he’ll probably still like me because he likes Vince so much! 🙂
Anyway, I’m knitting when I can. Rita can’t be let down to run around since she’s not nice to his dogs. The main living area in his house is a big donut kinda with a baby gate between the living room and foyer and a baby gate between the kitchen and dining room. I wondered if I let Rita down on one side of the baby gate and his dogs on the other, if they would make friends where Rita couldn’t hurt them. He has a tiny little Yorkie who probably would not fight back but he also has an elderly long haired chihuahua with a heart condition so I’ll probably just keep holding Rita.
She’s pretty content sitting here by me.

Family dynamics! A road fraught with unexpected hazards. I have observed and I have experienced some surprising things within what had seemed loving families!

My great grandbaby has a 3# Yorkie who would try to tear your leg off if you bothered her. When she was a newborn he kept all of the other dogs out of the baby’s room. Our sweet Mavis is a terror if you try to touch me if she is in the chair with me.

People and dogs, both squabble. =)
