Of all the sweaters I’ve made, this is the one I wear the most and love the most. I’m wearing it today so that’s what made me think about sharing my love for this one.

I have worn it for four winters now. Because it’s a pullover, I usually wear it with nothing under it. We don’t get cold enough most days for layering. Because it’s “next to skin”, I do wash it more than most of my other sweaters.

That’s an up close view of what it looks like today. Still looks perfect. No pilling. The colors have not faded. I have been so disappointed in many expensive yarns after they’ve been worn and washed a few times but this one has held up amazingly well. One reason I love this one is probably the colors. The yellowy green is Maple Leaf and I’m not seeing it on ESK’s lineup so I wonder if it’s even still available. I do love that color. The pattern is Kynance Cove and I’m very tempted to make another one. This sweater just works for me.
The yarn is Madelinetosh DK and it is a 100% Merino Wool yarn, which, since it has no nylon, I would not have guessed would have held up so well.
I have several other sweaters made with Madelinetosh DK, including this beautiful Blue Sand that I started in 2015 and have not finished.

Maybe I can get it finished soon.
