The trip home was pretty uneventful. I left Missouri before daylight but about 40 minutes into my trip, the sun was coming up.
I’m not going to keep talking bad about the traffic in those two Oklahoma cities. I went through Tulsa about 9 a.m. and it was like the entire city was still asleep. I kept thinking I had to be dreaming. OKC . . it wasn’t horrible til I got to where the construct causes several lanes to merge into one and oh, my . . there was so much traffic. I got through so that’s what matters.
Oklahoma City had a pretty good snow/ice storm a few days ago. I always watch the weather so I knew it was coming there but I also knew that yesterday was in the 40’s and today was in the 50’s or higher so I wasn’t worried but I couldn’t believe how many damaged vehicles were on the sides of the road. It was probably not safe for the tow trucks to be out working in the ice but it kinda reminded me of some of those movies . . Walking Dead (I think) and stuff like that where things just got abandoned.
There was so much melting snow and “crud” on the road that I ran by the car wash on the home and got the super duper car wash, then filled the car up, added a few new knitting projects and am ready to go again tomorrow.

We had a huge snow many years back. Traffic was stalled, so I waited it out until the crazies got off the road. When I drove home (uneventfully), it looked like a Stephen King novel. There were abandoned cars everywhere. Really spooky. Glad you are home safe and sound.

They are always doing road construction on I-35 as well as on the turnpikes. But, there is a lot of traffic since the roads are major N-S or E-W routes across the US.
Glad yo made it home without any issues…safe travels on your next trip.
