Last night we all decided as soon as everyone got home from work, we’d make a trip to Joplin for sushi one last time before I leave.
54 miles to Joplin; 54 miles back, but it was so worth it. I really wish Abilene was only 50 something miles from our house. It’s so nice to have to travel less than an hour to get to great restaurants.
Addie loves her sushi!
Chad and Nicole wanted to run in T. J. Max so Addie and I stayed in the car and played “Go Fish” with an imaginary deck of cards. Surprisingly, she won! 🙂
It was a great evening together with none of us having to work to cook or clean. One more day here . . time passes way too quickly when I’m here.
Tonight when Chad was putting gas in the car, Nicole said “I wish you didn’t have to leave. I love having you here!” I told her that was very nice to hear because I never want her to think “Oh, dear . . my mother-in-law is coming AGAIN!” She said “No, I always love it when you’re here. You help me so much!”
I try. I want to always be welcome. But, dang it . . leaving is so hard!

How sweet that Nicole is! It also means you are a great MIL. I’ve never gotten to find out if I am or not. =)

I am already crying for you!

I can’t imagine driving 54 miles just to eat dinner!
You must be an excellent mother-in-law for Nichole to say what she did! That whole family will miss you when you go back home.

What a great daughter in law you have. She loves you so much. That was a wonderful thing to say. Maybe one day you can live closer and help more. Or have Addie over to your house so Nicole and Chad can have time alone. It seems like I haven’t seen you since last year! LOL
