In about a week, I’ll be leaving to head back to Texas. I’ll either go home Friday, Saturday or Sunday, depending on the weather.
We still have things we want to do. I want to make Addie’s vest. That won’t take long, it’s just a matter of sitting down and doing it. Nicole’s grandma has a couple of things she wants me to “fix” for her so I need to do that. I actually intended to do that before I left in October and forgot.
I’d love to get Addie’s unicorn sweater made but she told me she’d rather me make her socks than work on the sweater, though she doesn’t know it’s a unicorn sweater. I would like to finish it so she can wear it this year because who knows if she’ll still like unicorns this time next year. The back is almost finished. I could finish it this evening. In my head, I can get it finished and other pair of socks made but in reality, maybe not.
At least Nicole’s sweater is finished.
Dang, my time here goes by way too fast. I’m hoping Vince will come with me when I come back . . maybe in March but he wants to wait til June til I have Medicare and not risk coming here and not having health insurance. No way am I waiting til June to come back here .. I hope.
But for now, I’ll enjoy my time I have left and not fret about leaving but I do need to speed up my working and get things done that I wanted to get done.

You should be getting the medicare calls already, or will soon. I think I was getting at five a day. I tried everything to stop it, so my advice – sign up early and then don’t answer the phone if you don’t recognize the caller.
But, can you get a short term policy for 3-6 months that would cover you to travel? Some cover international travel, but there might be one that covers US travel considering the limits of the stupid ACA plans.
On a happier note – I actually bought some yarn, needles, and downloaded that easy scarf/cowl pattern. I need to refresh my hand memory on knitting, checking out all of the online videos, but I still might email you with some stupid questions on instructions. I only bought 4 skeins of yarn and already started a spreadsheet to track them. I’ve learned from your search and rescue operations!
And, once I get over the refreshing stage, there is a yarn shop in Guthrie that offers drop in knitting. I also think I need to get some ugly yarn, so I can try out things without feeling guilty of using the good stuff. And I am not even buying any good stuff yet! /Liz
