The second thing we did this morning was make bath bombs. Addie had this Barbie kit for making bath bombs. The kit says for ages 6+. I’d say ages 8+. It requires a little more concentration than Addie had and once you open the mica colors, you really need to finish so you don’t lose the contents of the packets. There’s no way to reseal them and the little packets are tiny.
She enjoyed making the first two but after that, she was playing around and I said “Do you want me to finish them?” and she did.
They turned out cute. When she’s a little older, I’ll buy the ingredients (not a kit) and we can make our own.
But, as far as kits go, I think this was a good kit. The ingredients were pretty straightforward and I wasn’t concerned that we were using anything not safe for her.

They turned out really pretty!

Those will be fun to use. When she’s a little older, it will make a nice Christmas present for her to make for her mom or grandmother (either one of you!).

i made some for friends as gifts this year. ingredients are readily available for the recipe i used and i got the mica at a soap-making supply place. here is the link to the one i made, i’ve seen others with ingredients that i have no clue (polysorbate 80 for instance). https://www.doterra.com/US/en/blog/diy-fizzing-bath-bombs
