What’s a trip without a lost iPod or two, right? Yesterday as I was getting everything ready, I kept thinking about the iPods. There are four. They’ve been accumulated over the past 15 years or so. Most of the time, all four of them are lost. I really don’t understand how it happens. I think it’s just a block of some kind I have against keeping up with them . . or anything for that matter.
The last time I remembered about the iPods was that there two of them in my car, we stopped to get the tires rotated and I dropped them in my knitting bag so as not to leave them in plain sight in the car.
Which knitting bag? That was the question. I spent probably an hour yesterday looking for them. I knew the two were together . . but where? I even have the Tile locator things on them but the batteries have died in those. That’s a bit aggravating that all I can do is “re-tile” (get new ones for a cost) and the batteries can’t be changed but . . same with most of the electronic things these days. The last time Tile found my iPod was when I was in MO in October.
I ended up going into extra bedroom where all the knitting bags are and was feeling around in the bottom of all the bags instead of looking through them and . . it paid off.
Found them! I will have music for my trip. The oldest and the newest ones are still missing but I’ll find them when I least expect it and I’ll be happy to have them.

There is a new version of Tile that has a replaceable battery. You have to really look and read the packaging to be sure it’s the new version. I purchased some as a Christmas gift for the family members who are always losing the remote controls.

Judy, I think the new Tiles have replaceable batteries. I haven’t really researched it much, but I seem to remember the word “replaceable” from recent ads.

I’m so glad you found them! On my own car, I have Sirius. One of the boys gave it to me for three months for Christmas about 3 years ago, and I liked it so much, I’ve kept it. When I go on a trip, I’m out of luck, because I won’t pay for it in a rental car. And most rental cars don’t have CD players these days either. BUT they do have phone plugs and I can get a lot of music on my phone going through the car speakers, too. There are a couple of nice things about new cars – just not enough to get me to buy one. =)
