Everything I’m trying to get done and I guess I got tired of looking at that “Upgrade” message at the top of every screen so I upgraded to the new WordPress and everything is so foreign to me. Pictures, text changes, scheduling posts . . it’s all different. If things are crazy around here for the next day or so, will you please forgive me til I get a chance to sit down and figure out what I’m doing?
As of right now, I have no idea how to change category setting. The default setting is “Quilting” so until I figure this out, there will be a not of non-quilting topics posted under quilting. I will figure it out but probably not today. Ahhh . . found it . . but that doesn’t mean I’ll find it again.
Hopefully you won’t even notice any changes but dang it . . I’m noticing a lot of scary changes.

I always dread updates because of the changes. Wish we could live without them.

I heard this on other blogs. It would be nice if WordPress would do a FAQ on changes.

Don’t you wish they’d just leave things alone instead of upgrading all the time? Sometimes I think it’s just to justify their existence – all it does is confuse and infuriate people!! You just learn a program, then they completely change it around and it’s like starting from scratch! I hate it!!!

I’m not upgrading until they make me! I didn’t like the last change and didn’t upgrade (because I had already linked to the one I liked, so I know how different the address is), and I didn’t like the preview of this one and changed back. I like being in control and the changes they’ve made take a lot of control away. So, until they make me, I’m not upgrading, and at that point, I might even go back to LJ because it’s easy to control that one.
