A month or so ago, Eat, Sleep, Knit announced that COWLiday challenge. We were to make as many cowls as we wanted to make. The team with the most submissions got 100 stars (I think that’s what it was). Everyone who submitted at least one cowl before the deadline would get a surprise gift. The gift came in my email today. It’s a 10% off code. The discount is good for one use but it’s good on your entire cart. And, it’s good through the end of January.
Immediately I went and looked at the yarns. Nothing jumped out at me so I went back to knitting. I thought of a couple of things I might want, went to the website again, no, nothing excited me so I walked away. I’m betting between now and the end of January I’ll come up with something I have to have but the fact that I have a 10% off code and am not chomping at the bit to use it . . that’s encouraging.
One day at a time. I will celebrate my victories, my stumbles and my defeats here!

I’ve been noticing that I too have not been seeing any fabrics that jump out at me that I want to buy using all these sales and percentages off this month. Could it possibly be that I’m actually realizing that I have enough fabric to last a lifetime?…….NAH!

10% off is nice, but it also means 90% on! I’m glad you had that reaction, though, because it IS a good sign.
