First . . some of you worry about me when I disappear without a warning. I seriously do not think we’re going to have snow here but it would take about 2-1/2 flakes to knock out our internet so if I don’t post tomorrow or the next day . . don’t worry about me. If you haven’t heard from me by . . say . . Monday, then you can start to worry.
I’m sure I’ve told this story before but probably 15 years ago, I was online chatting with a friend. I said “Hold on . . I have to go do something” . . can’t remember what it was. When I got up from the computer, Vince decided that was a good time to do an upgrade or something. He saw my friend was trying to chat with me and he said “I’m turning off her computer!” The end! She had no idea what had happened. She said she kept waiting for me to come back but whatever he did, he couldn’t get the computer to come back on for hours. In the meantime, about an hour later, I said “I’m going to call my friend and tell her what happened.” When I called her, she said “I was just fixing to call the police to come check on you!” Vince and I laughed about that. Could you see the police coming up to check on me because Vince said “I’m turning off her computer.”
Anyway . . if I don’t have internet, I don’t have a cell phone so until the internet comes back on or we go to town where I can get internet, I can’t post. Again . . I don’t expect it to be an issue but I don’t want anyone worrying.
Back to the blog post . .
I was fixing to start making chili and before I opened the meat package, I thought . . I really need a nap. That was about 1:30 p.m. I told Vince I was going to take a nap. Went to bed, went right to sleep. He woke me up at 5:30 p.m. and said “Were you planning to sleep through the night or just take a nap? Heck, it sure looked like I was planning to sleep through the night but I got up.
There wasn’t even time to fry the chicken when I got up so I boiled some shrimp and roasted brussels sprout leaves. The shrimp look weird. They are from Argentina but they were really good. We love those brussels sprouts .. not sure what we ate before I discovered those.
Haven’t knitted a stitch today but I did get almost all the packages wrapped. Just a few more gifts that need boxes . . weird shaped boxes. I may need to run by Hobby Lobby next time I’m out . . . though I don’t really see a reason to go out again before I leave. Oh well . . I’ll think of something.

Best of luck with the odd-shaped items. There’s always the way-too-big box. =)

I was in Hobby Lobby today and I thought I heard the walls calling your name.
