The picture isn’t mine so I’m not copying it but please go to this website and look at the picture! We are doing that when I’m in MO. I figure that would be great for Christmas Eve. Depending on when Chad’s working, we might do it for breakfast or we might do it for dinner.
They will be so easy to make . . just add green food coloring to my regular pancake batter. The white icing is cream cheese icing and the green topping is sweetened whipped cream that’s been tinted green.
I so wanted that red/white striped mug shown in the picture but couldn’t find those so I went with these striped paper plates, cups, saucers and napkins. I’m sure the cups I got are for cold beverages only but that’s ok. We’ll have Grinch inspired hot chocolate another day in a real mug and that will make it all the more fun!
The hearts were ordered and have arrived.
The food coloring is packed. I believe I have everything ready to make Grinch pancakes. I have to buy cream to whip. I have cream cheese. I’m taking everything I can take from here in hopes of not having to go shopping but I’m sure I’ll take Addie to buy presents for her mom and dad so I’ll just keep a list and get everything while we’re out . . I hope.

How cute. You know I’m working on something you might be interested in. I have seven great/grand nieces and nephews. Years ago when the oldest one was born, I was heavily into scrapbooking still am a bit.But I quickly realized with the firstborn that it was a lot of photos and needed many copies, one for my niece (the mom) one for me one for their grandmother (my sis) and one for my mom the gr grandma. Working full time – didn’t work. Started digitally scrapping all the photos, have tons of digital scrappy things. Kept the page size to 8 x 8 so I could print the pages at home. But still printing 4 copies of every page was a pain. Enter my friend who said have you heard about proshow software. It makes slideshows easy as 123. You can be very specific when creating or use their wizard where you dump all the photos in, add ,music, press the go button and it puts it all together into a slideshow. You can go back and tweak things as you need to. I burn them to dvd’s and give to them as Christmas gifts. Then on Christmas night when everyone settled, we watch them My oldest gr niece is 12 and I’ve been doing this since she was 2 or 3, It makes a really nice record of the previous year and gets all the photos out of their phones, cameras, computers so everyone can enjoy them I also make extra copies so they can send to their two bio dads who live elsewhere. The people who are the sappiest are the two dads (of the little ones) they thank me over and over for doing this. (I’m now downloading 114 pics to start on the first one for one niece for this year.so I’m killing time so to speak, Here’s a link http://www.photodex.com/ I started with the Gold one and moved up a few years later to the more expensive Producer version. You can even include video clips. You can also d/l a free version to try out. You can also add captions, or other verbage to mark something like a birthday. You can change the music to fit the slides like Christmas music, birthday music.
You can get as specific or decorative as you want by adding on packages from their side or another site I’ve found called Choice Slides. Just thought I’d mention this as I know y’all have tons of photos of Addie. I bet her “other” grandma would love a copy too.

What a great way to turn all those photos into Christmas gifts that everyone loves. I used ProShow Gold in 2004 to make DVDs of my son’s wedding. Cool program and I’m sure it’s been improved in the meantime.

That’s adorable…. have fun with everything. I just wonder what the back of your car is going to look like – filled to the gills!
Don’t forget that I can be your travel weather person as well as local Oklahoma rescue person. When I traveled, I had friends on call to check the weather, it helps since you really don’t know what stations to listen to when you travel.
Repeat after me – Oklahoma City is easy to travel through! Though I will admit that, depending on the time of day, that stretch of I-35 from the Turner Turnpike to I-35 to Norman can be exciting. Timing is everything.
I just went to Norman – when you go from I35 to I40 to I35 section, go left to the two lanes labeled I 35,but stay in the right lane (of the two left exit lanes). They increased it to a two lane curve, but then the left lane has to merge soon after the merge with I-35. Clear as mud, huh?

ok, here is a recipe that says you should let the kids help you make it. The title is Easy Egg Cups. Combine a 20 oz bag of hash brown potatoes, 1 cup shredded cheese, 4 eggs, 1/4 cup diced onion and 1 teaspoonful of garlic in a bowl. Stir well and scoop into greased muffing cups. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. I have made these before and they are great!!

This looks like fun! I’ll have to remember it when my granddaughter gets a little older! Just a suggestion: When I want thick and fluffy pancakes, I use an egg form to make them round. It works great!
