Last night, as I had promised myself, the Susie Rogers’ Reading Mitts were finished.
I love this pattern! It’s very easy. The mitts are so feminine with the pico-ish edges and the lace near the edges. They’re quick to make . . mindless knitting.
The yarn is Miss Babs Yowza. The color is Catherine.
These will be a gift for either a teacher, the day care lady or Addie’s favorite greeter at Walmart. I will let her choose who gets which mitts.
Not sure what pattern or yarn I’ll use for Mitts #2 but I shall get started on those today.

Those look great. I keep seeing all these fingerless mitts but I wonder if they would keep me warm. My fingers all get really cold! Glad I live in Phoenix.
Judy Laquidara says
For obvious reasons, they’re not what I’m going to grab when it’s 20° and I need to go take care of the chickens but they’re so great when you need to have the use of your fingers. It’s surprising how much warmth they provide your wrists and hands, except the tips of the fingers. In the chair where I sit to knit, the return air vent is around the corner and it seems to draft cold air past me when the heater comes on. Wearing a pair of fingerless mitts really makes a difference when I’m sitting here knitting. Even driving on the chilly days, once the car is comfortable, my hands aren’t cold enough for gloves but the fingerless mitts are nice.
There are patterns that have a little flap thing that you fold down over your fingers and then fold back when you need to use your fingers. I need to try those.

I LOVE those (but they certainly don’t look like mindless anything to me!! HA).

I have some that fold down, like you mentioned in the comment reply. I really like them. They aren’t pretty like yours, though!

Judy, those are beautiful. The color is so deep and rich.
