Yesterday when we noticed the little chicken was missing, we looked everywhere for it. The one remaining little chicken looked so lost and alone. Last night when Vince put the chickens up he looked to see if it was in the coop somewhere and didn’t see it so we figured it was gone for good.
This afternoon, about the middle of the afternoon, I looked out and saw the one little chicken wandering around in the front yard, outside the safety of his mother’s watchful eye . . because she can’t get through the squares in the fence . . only the little chickens can fit through. I was feeling bad or him and lo and behold . . there was the other little chicken.
I tried to find Vince and couldn’t find him. I looked in the garden. The RTV was here so I knew he hadn’t take off to the woods on that. I stuck my head in the shop and hollered for him. I wanted to tell him I’d found the lost chick. After a while, he came strolling by. He had been in the sewing room playing with Boots!
I told him we have two little chickens again and he didn’t believe me. When we went back around to the front, there they both were!
You can see the big chickens on the other side of the fence. Any time we walk out that way, they think we’re bring treats for them. Spoiled chickens!
I’m glad to have both little chicks back. I was sad that we had lost one . . but now I’m happy!

Don’t you just love how just simple things can make you so happy the older we get. I’m glad you found the second little chicken the other one needs a buddy.

I think that all of “your pets” are becoming all of his. Vince is such a kind and loving man. The world needs more of his kind.
