Last night I was looking for cookie recipes that Addie and I can make and deliver around town. I want some cookie recipes that are fairly easy. She will lose interest quickly and I’ll be left making all the cookies. You’re more than welcome to share easy and delicious cookie recipes . . just don’t mention my cookie molds that are spending another Christmas lost.
I happened to think . . I wish I had made Christmas aprons for Nicole, Addie and me . . maybe even made one for Chad but it’s too late. I have to get that unicorn sweater done. I’ll do it next year so I put a note on my calendar for September 10 – make Christmas aprons!
Then I remembered that one year my parents came for Christmas and I made aprons for mom and me.
There we were . . in that house that I loved . . with my lime green kitchen! And if I lived there now, I’d be less than 1 mile from Chad, Nicole and Addie.
And Chad made dessert! WOW! What a difference 11 years makes for all of us. Chad’s hair! And he was thin and he didn’t have that crazy beard. And he wore glasses.
That was our first Christmas in Missouri. All I wanted was Christmas aprons and now I’m feeling very nostalgic and wishing . . ok . . not going there. Not gonna happen so I’m not even going to say it!

I agree with you 100%…about not rewarding bad behavior. I’m getting real tired of people not doing what they say are going to do….it’s not only in the medical field, but in every business we deal with.

Oops…that reply was supposed to be on the rewarding good deeds…LOL

And if you still lived in the house in Missouri with the lime green kitchen you would be dodging the red tag man!

And trying to cook on that smooth top stove without enough room under the microwave!

Very pretty aprons! I have a recipe that is very easy and you will love it if you like shortbread! 1 cup sugar, 1 cup butter and 1 cup flour. mix them all together, make a log roll out of it. Wrap it in wax paper and then saran wrap. Place it in the refrigerator overnight. Then the next day, slice the roll in small slices, cook until the edges start turning brown and they are ready!! So easy, so simple and sooooo good!

You still have time to order matching aprons. I have pictures of 4yr old grandson after we had made Christmas cookies and oh my! they make my heart so happy.

You can make cake mix cookies with her – they are about as easy as can be. A box of cake mix of any flavor, eggs, and oil. You can Google cake mix cookies to get the directions. I love to make cookies from scratch, but when I am in a big time crunch, I make these. It has saved me when my husband came home late from work and told me there was going to be a pot luck the next day!
