Nicole sent me pictures of the two of them wearing the hats I sent Addie.
She actually sent me another picture when they switched hats and Nicole was wearing the reindeer hat. It looks like they like them but time will tell. Addie has never liked ribbons and bows in her hair and has never liked hats much. I’m hoping the cute reindeer hat will be one she likes to wear, at least for a few weeks. I guess if Addie doesn’t wear them, Nicole can!

They both look cute. Love the hats. I wear them all the time but my grandmother stated me ding so back in the late 50’s when hats were in style. Someone ask me just yesterday just how many hats do you have. I said” well I started counting just hats( not caps) and stopped at 47 . So maybe there is still hope Addie will get to liking them. They are all so darn cute the ones you make them both.Keep up the good work never can have to many hats but in your case that goes for socks. I love those you make too..

I like hats but don’t wear them because they mess up my hair!

Some young people wear knit caps as a style thing. I think Addie is a bit young for that trend, though.

One of the first hats I knit for my granddaughter (age 9 back then) was Cat Bordhi’s Anemone Hat. I knew she liked it but had no idea how much until her mother told me she was wearing it in August when she picked her up from summer camp – August in Montana and it wasn’t cold! I used Malabrigo Mecha – and added lots of tendrils – and don’t remember how many CO stitches or needle size offhand but if you’re interested I can find my notes. We call it the happy hat. She was wearing it when she got her first deer this fall. Addie’s personality and antics remind me of her so maybe another hat project for you to consider.
