Who’s going shopping tomorrow? Vince and I were talking about Black Friday shopping on our way home from a friend’s house today. In Kentucky, we had quite a few more shopping places. We had Sears, Kmart, a mall, Target .. more places that the average shopper could visit in one day. Vince and Chad would leave the house bright and early, they’d eat lunch out and come home with the car packed. Vince isn’t going shopping tomorrow (that’s what he says tonight). You can bet I’m not going anywhere. Get this . . Chad is off tomorrow! He’s been working retail close to 10 years and I don’t think he’s ever been off on Black Friday. There’s an auction somewhere near him and he and Addie are planning to spend the day there. Last time Chad and Addie went to an auction, she got three bowling balls. I don’t know if she paid $1 each or got them all three for $1 but she’s had more fun playing with those out in the yard.
Eat, Sleep, Knit is having their big Black Friday sale. I have a credit so I’ll spend that much. After making Addie’s hat in Blue Sky’s Woolstock, I wanted to get enough of that to make Throwback Thursday. I was looking at the colors to go ahead and have it in my cart so I can check out quickly and some of the colors looked familiar. I checked my spreadsheet and I already have enough to make three sweaters and one of them is the color I was thinking about getting. Good thing I checked!
Malabrigo Rios will also work and I have 10 different colors with enough to make this sweater so . . no . . I do not need to buy yarn for that sweater.
You know how Vince has always complained about my yarn buying. Probably 5 or 6 years ago, I don’t know if it was too many customers at ESK or our internet, but I was having trouble getting on their site and even more trouble checking out. Vince was on his computer trying to place an order. I was on my computer trying to place an order. Then Vince grabbed his phone and was trying to do it on his phone. I don’t remember if we got what I was wanting to get or not. One thing for sure . . we are not going to run out of yarn any time soon.
If you go out shopping tomorrow, stay safe. Stay calm. It’s going to be crazy!
