Sunday night it was the Instant Pot that I almost ruined.
Last night . . the air fryer.
I pulled the tray out. I had just pushed the air fryer back and my heavy wooden cutting board was in the way so I just pushed it over a little but as I pulled the tray out, I think it hit the cutting board and when I caught the cutting board to keep it from falling, I hit it against the air fryer try and broke the piece off but . . it didn’t really break off . . it shattered into about 30 little slivers.
Doesn’t it seem like I should really just sit and knit and stay out of the kitchen? That’s what I thought you’d say.
Really, I never break things. It’s rare that I break a glass or drop anything and break it but the last two days have me a bit nervous about even going into the kitchen.

Hmmmmm……(really, nothing too personal, but………..) let’s see, how many hundreds of miles separate us?? I think I’m fairly safe…………ummmm….yup, knitting BUT watch out for those needles! They’re sharp!!! Hugs………from a distance………………..

Hope those demons leave your house before Thanksgiving. Perhaps going out to eat Thurs is a thought??? Be careful around knives and knitting needles!

Some days are just like that. You’ve pushed yourself until your exhausted. Get some rest and order a new Air Fryer.

Some days things just go wrong! The Thanksgiving before last I picked up a hot glass casserole lid with my bare hand, then dropped it. My hand was OK (had just a minor burn), but the lid shattered when it hit the floor. I was barefoot, but didn’t get cut or burned. However, with glass everywhere, I couldn’t move! Family members came to my rescue. They brought me my shoes and then helped clean up.
I found a lid the right size in a thrift store a few months later!

Sounds to me you are keyed up and you need to sit back and think, knit and/or do nothing. You need some quiet time!!

Yep, you should knit and let Vince fix Thanksgiving dinner. =) That doesn’t look like a bad owie on the pot, but I’ve never used an air fryer – I’m not even sure what it is or how it works, so I don’t know if it will still work or not. Time to use less fragile pots!

I have had a set of glass drinking glasses for years & have never broken one. I’ve canned countless jars of food without a jar breaking, but tonight when I opened up the canner I knew my luck had run out. The bottom had fallen out of one of the jars. Sometimes stuff just happens I guess.
