This pattern popped up on my Ravelry radar the other day – Head to the Sleigh. I’ve already made Addie one Christmas hat but I thought this one was so cute, I had to order yarn.
I ordered Blue Sky’s Woolstock, which is a yarn I’ve never used. I ordered enough yarn to make two, maybe three hats. I have a plan but I’m not saying it til I know if I can do it.
I’m not real sure what I was thinking . . though I’m sure I knew what I was thinking when I ordered this yarn. You will see that the label says this is a worsted weight yarn. Eat, Sleep, Knit calls it DK and to me, it feels more like DK. The pattern calls for sport. I’m making the child’s size first and it may end up being too big for Addie but I’ll still have time and yarn to make a smaller size if the first one is too big.
Last night, I got the cast one and ribbing done. I love this yarn but at this time, I am so in love with “wooly” yarn and this is definitely more wooly than most yarns I use. It doesn’t feel overly processed but feels more like the sheep. I like it!

Oooh, now you’ve made me curious! It sounds like great yarn.
