Aldi has cranberries for 99¢ per 12 oz. bag. We bought a lot to make more cranberry juice. I get about 1 quart of juice per bag.
I’ll add a little sugar but I’m not going to add orange or lemon juice. Sometimes I will add orange juice when we open a jar of fresh cranberry juice but for the most part, we drink it plain.
There’s a lot of pulp left and it’s great for adding to muffins or oatmeal but I’m going to mix it with a bit of sugar and cinnamon, spread it out on the freeze dryer trays and freeze dry it. I think it should be good just for snacking but it will also be good to break up and put the small pieces in cereal or oatmeal.

Would you explain how you do the juicing? Getting a quart of juice from one bag is great!

I love cranberries. Especially cooked cranberries over cottage cheese.

What a great idea! Or pop it into oatmeal cookies! Yum! Now I wish I had a freeze drier.

I went to a talk today on Kidney health. It was presented by a Dr, of Urginology. He talked about ways to avoid kidney stones, and answered many questions about kidney and bladder matters. One thing I was surprised by was his answer to the myth that cranberry juice helps UTIs. Most commercial juices have lots of sugars, but even the unsweeted kind does not clear up uti’s. I will still drink it and do like fresh cranberry sauce and put then in baking items.
