I’m having second thoughts about the unicorn sweater now that I’ve looked at the pattern more. There are some things that bother me but . . it is for a 6 year old so I probably shouldn’t overthink this. I’m thinking I could use a raglan pattern from Strange Brew and using the same unicorn but, the more I look at the unicorn, the more I think he needs a bit of tweaking. I have a chart for unicorns to put four or five around the yoke of a raglan but, those would not have the fringey mane and tail and I know she would love that. I’m going to have to think about it.
I was planning to use the dark pink for the sweater, the light pink for the nose, the white for the unicorn and the other colors for the sleeve stripes an for the fringe for the mane and tail.
I’d love to get started on this and be able to give it to her for Christmas. Did I mention I’m going to be there for Christmas? My first ever Christmas with her. I cannot wait!

Oh, how exciting to be spending Christmas with them! There’s nothing quite like young kids at Christmas.

The colors are so bright and Addie-like. She’s going to love it, and she isn’t going to care if it’s tweaked or not. Go for the easiest, quickest plan this time. I know it will be painful. LOL

I think that’s wise advice, desertsuz 🙂

Christmas will be wonderful with Addie! Last night as we were going to bed, my husband said, “This will be our first Thanksgiving and Christmas with a granddaughter!” I’m so excited too!
