ESK is calling it a COWLiday KAL. We’re all to make as many cowls as we can between yesterday and December 13. The team with the most cowls made gets 100 stars! That’s a huge incentive. My team is currently in the lead but 100 stars awarded to the second place team . . that could make it a close race.
So . . I’m forgetting about my knitting plans “somewhat” and knitting cowls. The cowls only have to be 90 yards to qualify. First, I’m going to make Gap-tastic, which uses about 300 yards. I have 400 yards. I’m wondering if I could use about 250 yards on one for a Christmas gift for Adie’s teacher and then have about 150 yards to make one for Addie. I think she would love that.
I have four skeins of this Malabrigo Chunky yarn that I bought during some kind of flash incentive about a month ago and I’m not sure I bought it for a specific project or not. I cannot remember so it’s going to be made into a Gap-tastic cowl . . or two.

That sounds like fun. I was trying to think of small gifts and remembered the Gaptastic. I haven’t made one but several ladies in the Nevada group made it a few years ago.

I’ll be knitting cowls for that “2nd place team.” 🙂

That does sound like fun. What are the stars for? You do whatever you want with the cowls, it isn’t for charity?
