It was in March, 2016 that Nicole started a Hitofude cardigan. She loved the ones I had made and since I love the pattern, I may have talked her into starting one. I got the yarn that I knew she loved and she started it but once set put it down, it was hard for her to get started back again.
She’s past the sleeves and started on the part that’s below the band. She really has done the hardest part. I should be able to knock this out in a week or so. I wish we had talked about it and I could probably have finished it while I was here. Since I’m a loose knitter, I’ll go down a needle size from what she was using and hope our different knitting styles aren’t too obvious. I did switch it from her needles to my needles and added my stitch markers so I can leave her needles and markers here for her to use.
I’ll get it done and send it to her . . soon so she can wear it this winter I hope.

Someone was wearing this sweater at Rhinebeck last weekend and it was stunning. The young woman had made it much longer and it swung around her legs like a dress. It was really lovely and then it hopped on to my “to knit” list! ?

One of my favorite cardigan patterns ever! I made three of them! All of the thousands made by knitters look good. This one is pretty! (Even though I really don’t like pink, LOL)
