I hope it’s my final trip to Walmart before I leave here. Yesterday I said it was my last trip but this morning I was thinking I should make the Hamburger Mac & Cheese for Addie before I leave. She absolutely loves it. We’re having gumbo tonight and she’s not crazy about that and I didn’t have anything for Nicole to eat when she comes home for lunch so Addie and I ran to WM and grabbed what we needed, along with a few extra things she wanted . . the last time I get to buy fun things for her before I go and have to mail things and don’t get to see her enjoy them.
Addie got herself dressed while I got dressed. New purple jeans, wedding shoes and a shirt that’s probably at least two sizes too small and says something about Christmas on it. I looked at here and before I said . . change your shirt and your shoes, I thought . . it’s my last day here. She can wear it if she wants!
Some older guy stopped her and commented on her beautiful, sparkly shoes. Made her day.
The hamburger mac & cheese is ready. Nicole will be home in about 10 minutes. I think there may be a nap for Addie and me this afternoon or, maybe that’s just wishful thinking!

I can remember when my goddaughter and her sister were about Addie’s age, and they wore Easter hats at Christmas time. The joy of doing/wearing what makes your heart sing! 🙂

That t-shirt looks like the right size to me, and the sparkly shoes will be outgrown before she can wear them out, might as well enjoy them now! Best Wishes! Travel safely!

Twinkle-toes!
What Ruth said about growing out of the shoes makes sense! Good grandma, letting Addie be Addie.

Hope you got your nap in! I think she looks beautiful! At least she has a mind of her own!

Sparkly shoes are for every season and place. =) she actually looks cute, so something is working for her. LOL I was thinking that maybe as a parent I should have stopped more often and thought, “Oh, what does it hurt if he wears his bat cape grocery shopping?” Just an example.

I never really care what my kids want to wear to run errands but then I have boys and the worse it gets is mismatch shirt and shorts. But I have let them wear costumes out. As long as they are wearing clothes and shoes, I don’t care what looks I get. lol.
