Beautiful Makeup

Unicorn Mittens & Hat

Before Nicole and her sister left to go to the wedding venue to get themselves dressed, they put a bit of makeup on Addie and fixed her hair. I was to deliver her to the venue a couple of hours later. Addie decided to add a little more lipstick.

Makeup Artist!

She was quite proud of herself. I’m betting when Mommy sees her, Addie and I are both going to be in trouble.

When I got to the venue, Nicole’s mom and dad were just driving up. I said “Can you take her to her mother?” I wanted to make a quick getaway before Nicole saw her!ย  ๐Ÿ™‚

Like . . leave a note and head back home so when they get home, they’ll find me gone and find the note? ๐Ÿ™‚

I have a feeling by the time Nicole gets home from the wedding, she’s going to be so tired, that lipstick will be the last thing on her mind.

A lesson learned…don’t leave her without adult supervision.

I don’t think a 6 year old needs constant adult supervision. I figure with a 6 year old in the house, you keep dangerous things away from them but they should be learning that some things you do not get into and if you do, there are consequences. She’s been in and out of Nicole’s lipstick several times since I’ve been here and nothing has been said about it. If this was my child, I would say “you leave MY stuff alone unless you have my permission . . each time . . . to get into it” and if you don’t do that, you don’t play on your tablet for 24 hours . . or whatever mom decides is sufficient punishment.

When you let a 6 year old do things they shouldn’t do, then they don’t learn when it’s ok to do them and when it’s not ok to do them. Just my opinion.

It can be difficult being a granny. Enjoy……

So funny! I think you were wise to leave it alone and let her parents tend to it, especially if they have allowed lipstick use in the past. What a great reward for Mom and Dad from their darling little 6 year old! It will be a special memory of the wedding for years to come. I love the photo!

Oh may goodness. Maybe it is time for some lipstick lessons. I hope it came off ok and didn’t ruin the wedding photos. You bad grandmother you. But just look at those great big eyes. Who could be mad? So cute…….Mommies little helper once again……
