Yesterday Nicole and Addie went to visit family. Since I was home alone for a few minutes, I grabbed the Soli de Gloria shawl project and was able to complete Chart 3. It was only three rows but it made it look a bit bigger and added a few more beads.
For those of you wondering if the beads are showing up enough, once it’s blocked, they’ll really show up.
This morning I was sitting and knitting and when I adjusted the position of my glasses, one of the ear pieces felt loose so I asked Nicole if she would look at it . . because I can’t see without them. I said “Dang, if my glasses break, I will be here forever because I can’t see without them.” She said “Want me to break your glasses?”
I’m so thankful, every single day, for such a great daughter-in-law.
She was able to screw in the little screw that was loose. I’ll have to pay attention to that so they don’t come loose and come completely apart. I do always keep my last pair of glasses, before I got new ones, in my car so if anything happens, I have a backup pair with me.

Judy, I read somewhere that if that little screw comes loose, a drop of clear nail polish helps keep it secure. (Just a tidbit of useful/useless information!)

I was going to suggest the clear nail polish. It does work as I had a pair that I had to use nail polish on. It did work.

The shawl is looking beautiful and those are the perfect color with that yarn.
