The girl is out of school today. She loves going to Joplin our plans are to go to Joplin today. She got up wanting to wear her Halloween costume.

Nope . . not wearing the Halloween costume. I knew Nicole didn’t want her wearing that yet so she decided to wear her new dress but she didn’t want to brush her hair.

Pick your battles! I wasn’t going to fight with her about combing her hair. I got out of bed this morning, took Speck for a walk and never had combed my own hair because I had to take a shower and wash it. I had looked in the mirror and knew it looked frightful. I told Addie “Good! If you don’t have to comb your hair, I’m not combing mine either!” She looked at my hair, went and got a brush and brushed her hair. More than one way to get things accomplished.
