This afternoon Nicole told Addie it was time for a nap. That was not what she wanted to hear but obviously, she was already overdue for a nap. She grabbed her notepad and wanted to know the number for the police because she was calling to tell them that Nicole was a bad mother! Nicole gave her my number but she never called.
She went back to her room and in a few minutes came out with her bag (just that little purse) packed. She said “C’mon Granny! I’m moving to Texas!”
All that was in her bag was lipstick, lip gloss and nail polish. What a girl! I think if you click on the picture for a close up, you’ll agree that she may need a mirror for using with the lipstick.
She did get her nap and hasn’t mentioned moving to Texas . . til her parents aggravate her again.
Just for the record, we wouldn’t get out of town before she wanted her mama but further for the record . . I would never agree for her to come home with me because she’s mad at her parents!

Adorable! She would probably not let you get past their street! But…..who knows.

She’s going to give her parents a run for their money. Maybe she needs a little brother or sister to take some of the attention off her. I always think only children must be lonely anyway.

I’m an only child and was/am never lonely. I learned how to entertain myself. It does have its downside however…….I never had to share so that is still an issue and the arguments that siblings have and say horrible things to each other as children. I never learned how to let that roll off my back. Other than that I enjoyed being an only child. Well I did have an imaginary play mate but we won’t elaborate on that….LOL!

Amen to that!

LOL Vince! Don’t you know, a second baby would just speed up the timeline?! You’d be BUILDING a suitable house on the first available patch of land! ;-D

I love it.

I would have suggested that she might want to pack George if she’s moving to Texas. He would miss her if she left him behind…LOL

Yep I remember those days with my two older granddaughters . How they wanted to move in with us and never see their parents again. So glad that lasted just about 15 minutes after I told them they would have to both do chores at Grandma;s house, no phones and no ipods. So that was the end of that .. Thank goodness as I never wanted to be the cause of a family breakup.

My little brother always packed and ran away to our neighbors’ house next door. They always sent him back by dinner time.

LOL, She’s the right age for running away someplace safe! Paul ran away to the next door neighbor’s house, and I waved a cheery goodbye. I went to go him after about half an hour and he was ready to come home, having forgotten that he had run away … but there was that stick with the handkerchief tied on the end. His brother might have helped with that. LOL The neighbors were a grandparent-aged couple who were so sweet! That picture gives a hint of the beautiful teen that will be a handful!
