Every trip back to MO seems to get harder. I so dislike driving through Oklahoma City and Tulsa. But, that’s the best way for me to get from Texas to Missouri. I’ll be so happy when we find a place in MO and Vince will go with me for most trips.
Don’t worry – I’m not driving and typing. I wrote this last night.
Last night I got my car mostly loaded. All the knitting. My clothes and things I need for getting dressed. Sewing things I need to get the handwork done on the dresses. Unicorn pop-tarts and cereal. Snacks for the road. Mesquite for Chad to use grilling. Mesquite for Chad to turn. Pillow. Trinkets I’ve bought for Addie. Ice cream maker. iPod! Coat. That may be it. Usually I take one or two big coolers . . either I’m bringing stuff for them – things from the garden or eggs. I don’t even have any extra eggs to bring them. I have just a little cooler for my water and cheese sticks. Last trip I had a big box that had Addie’s unicorn beadspread in it, along with a sewing machine. I feel like I must have left something at home since my car has empty space.
Wish me luck getting through OKC and Tulsa. If I’ve figured correctly, this post should appear about the time I’m getting to OKC.

Oh I’ve made that drive from OKC to Tulsa and back so many times – I hate it. Travel safely and I look forward to hearing about your visit.

Safe travels!

Just returned to Dallas from Kansas City, Kansas. OKC is MUCH better now that 35North has 2 right lanes on the south side of town turn. If that makes sense! Used to, there was only a one-lane exit and it was awful!

It’s funny that we both go so near each other’s paths — I’m not far from Dallas; Chad isn’t far from KC but I never get on 35.

I grew up in OKC. Then lived there again a few years back and still have family there. Never had issues traveling there (especially after living here..UGH). Hope you made it thru both safe and sound!

I don’t have a problem finding my way around . . it’s just that the speed limit may be 60 down the interstate through town and anyone going less than 80 is going to get run over or get a speeding ticket. People cut in and out of lanes and those of us who aren’t quite sure when we need to change lanes about have to close our eyes and hope for the best. Drives in cities seem to be rude and in too big of a hurry for this country girl.

I hope you are there safely and happily reunited with that funny Addie. =) Be careful driving home, too.
