We had quite a bit of rain a few weeks ago and though it’s dry again, everything is so green
Vince was working out yesterday on the area where he’s going to grow the mushrooms and I took a few pictures and looking at them last night, it’s so easy to love being here when things are green instead of being brown and dead and crunchy!

This little coop had been the bantam coop but we haven’t had them for years. Vince took down all the fencing and he’s going to power wash/sanitize inside the coop and use it for his whatever he needs to do inside for the mushrooms. There’s water and electricity to that coop. The bigger coop in the background is where we keep most of our chickens. That coop is inside a high fence and that’s where most of the fruit trees are. It’s about 1-1/2 acres that’s fenced. We have one more coop towards the garden and that’s where the other chickens are.
That’s the plastic fencing that was still up around the bantam coop. It was enough to keep them in but it’s all down now.
It was nice seeing Vince using the RTV. About the only use it gets is when I go to the mail box or when we drive around to check the bluebird boxes.
Things look so different when it’s green. I wish it would never get brown and dead/ugly again but . . next summer it will happen all over again. For now, I’ll enjoy the green! And I’m enjoying Vince and being outside working with me.

So I’m assuming no new bluebird eggs or nestlings this time of year? Was it a good year for the bluebirds (don’t recall hearing much about them).

Since there are some windows, he can always put in a small A/C unit for the summer. I’m sure he can find a good deal on that item!

How convenient that the chicken coop can be put to good use! It does looks lovely and green, especially in the RTV picture.

Sounds like he may have put in more than 2 hours for the day.
