Just when you think you can’t possibly read another blog post about my Undulance socks, I start the second sock and we get to do it all over again!
I kinda wish they would stay all lumpy like this but once they get soaked and blocked, and especially once I wear them, they’ll be flat and normal.
Sunday night I knitted down to where I would start the heel. Trying to knit black yarn late at night is hard on my eyes. I even put a white towel on my lap hoping that would help. When I got to the heel and time to switch to black yarn, I put the sock down and went to bed, thinking I’d have time to get the heel turned Monday. I was busy making dog food, smoking chicken, juicing pomegranates, dealing with the freeze dryer . . by the time I picked up the socks, it was 8:30 p.m. last night. I went ahead and got the heel turned but it was hard on the eyes. I think I’ll take these to knitting with me today, along with the pink socks and work on those two today. Maybe I can get the Undulance sock finished by tonight.

So what happens if you don’t block it?
