Every morning, as I’m deciding if I’m going to wake up or keep sleeping (life is really tough around here!), I think of the things I want to get done each day. This morning, I was thinking . . there are some things I am NOT going to do today.
- I am not going to mention Suzanne Bryan! (except in this blog post). I fear I’m making a spectacle of myself. You think you’re hearing a lot about her, you should be in Vince’s shoes! 🙂
- I am not going to realtor.com. I have wasted so much time looking for new listings in MO. I’m telling myself that they are not adding new houses this weekend and I’m not looking again til Monday. I have total confidence in our realtor so I don’t need to hit refresh at realtor.com 258 times a day! She’s the realtor Chad and Nicole used. Chad said “Mom, she’s like a little bull dog getting things done and making sure everything happens just when it’s supposed to happen”. So . . she can look for new listings . . I’m going to knit today.
- Darn . . there were three things I was not going to do today and I’ve already forgot the third thing. Hopefully (but probably not), I’ll remember it before I do it.
I do have strawberries and bean sprouts in the freeze dryer. They should finish up today and I can get the next load in. I seem to be in a time crunch . . I want to get the strawberries, mushrooms and kefir out of the freezer and get that freeze dried but I also need to get more dog food made and freeze dried. I can always put it in small containers and freeze it. That’s what I did before I got the freeze dryer. It’s just so much more convenient freeze dried. Yes, I did recently make a batch of dog food but it lasts 4 – 6 weeks and . . well . . I’m going to be gone a long time this next trip. No, Vince isn’t happy but he’ll survive and appreciate me when I get back . . right?

Sounds like you have well-laid plans for today! At least what you’re NOT planning! LOL My family is having a family reunion today, so we drove in yesterday and will see the family today. Picnic, kayaking on the lake, seeing cousins we haven’t seen for a few years….lots of fun! Son-in-law had to stay home, however. It seems he came down with hand, foot and mouth disease the day before we left! He was NOT feeling well. Our daughter and grandson still got to come with us, however, so it’s been fun!

I like this idea. If I make a list of what I’m not going to do, I could check everything off – not going to dust, not going to do paperwork, not going to organize old pictures….

I went to a quilt show here in Springfield, MO and got excited about quilting (again). Then I remembered the difficulty my old machine was having and decided to buy a gently used Janome Sewist 500 machine in a little shop close by. I have dreams of finishing alot of projects today with my new machine. And starting several that I got at the quilt show.

Judy – love your blog. Would u be able to give approximate proportions for how you make Rita’s dog food? I have two Jack Russell’s and would love to give it a try. Many thanks

Guess I must be missing something, but I don’t even know who Suzanne Bryan is. LOL Vince will have the cats, dog & chickens for company while you are gone. They will keep him busy. And then there’s his blog writing that will take a little time each week to prepare for. Not to mention all his trips to town.

Worthy goals. =) Mentioning her in e-mail doesn’t count. When you find a good thing, you just want to do that, talk about that, spread the joy. I watched Jamie Wallen today on YouTube and I SO wanted to rush out and buy a longarm!
