Remember . . last year when I began thinking about making my beloved springerle cookies and couldn’t find my cookie molds? I searched fairly diligently for them for a couple of months and still keep an eye out for them. They’re in a clear plastic tote with a dome kind of lid. My molds, the cookie cutters for the molds, the measuring sticks for the cookie dough . . everything is in that one tote. Still have not found it.
I probably have a couple dozen molds. These pictures are all old ones from the blog because, of course, I cannot take new pictures because I cannot find the molds!
All of my molds had been purchased from Springerle Joy. They had a very nice website, a newsletter, recipes. I loved going there and looking at all the molds.
Earlier this week, some friends and I were sitting in a restaurant talking about . . who knows what . . and I was telling them about my lost cookie molds and how gorgeous the molds are and I said “here . . I’ll show you the webpage”.
I went to the webpage and about fell out of my chair:
Well, that definitely took the “joy” out of my springerle! I guess I totally missed that notice. It was in March that Vince had heart issues and a few months there were kinda crazy.
Now I’m more determined to find my springerle molds but where on earth have I not already looked? Every day I search another area. I have no idea where they are but wherever it is, it’s the best hiding place ever!

Looks like the last time you used them, the new counter tops were not finished. Where did you put things while they finished up that project?
Judy Laquidara says
No. I’ve used them since then. https://patchworktimes.com/2016/09/04/rosemary-lemon-cookies/

Look behind the Water Pic you used to clean them.
Judy Laquidara says
The water pic is in the bathroom. I know they aren’t in there.

I can’t find the little screw on thingy that holds my little hand grinder together. Do you suppose it’s hiding out with your cookie molds? I can’t think of any other place it might be. LOL
Jackie says
In the past when something was misplaced I would have someone else look for it sometime it’s right in front of you and you can’t see it.

Do I need to come to your house and play hide ‘n seek?

I purchased Moravian Stars, lovely things, years ago in Bethlehem, PA. We have not seen them since we moved, 6 years ago. I KNOW I “packed” them. I know they are here somewhere. We have too darn much stuff! In a month, we are going hunting several things here. Major finding will take place!!! Hopefully you will find your molds soon.
Pat Anderson says
Even though you can’t find them, they should have increased in value since they are no longer available! Does that help?
dezertsuz says
You take good care of your things, so when they turn up, they will be in perfect condition still. =)

they are most likely with my stack of longer quilting rulers SO carefully put in a safe, flat place where they couldn’t break. every once in awhile i get a brainstorm and check it out, been at least 5 years now with no luck. i even bought new ones here and there knowing that’s how to find them… not. suddenly… somewhere… when you least expect it (showing my age?) they’ll show up and you will immediately remember putting them there, safely away.
