The freeze dryer has been idle for a few days. I don’t know why . . I just never got around to getting it loaded but it’s now going again.
Strawberries & Bean Sprouts
We loved the crunchy bean sprouts that I freeze dried a week or so ago. They’re great on salads, sandwiches and I sprinkled a bit of cajun spices on them the other day and ate a few as I would a bag of chips. I don’t feel bad at all about eating those and they satisfy that desire for a snack.
The strawberries were on sale. They should have been giving them away. They’re pretty tasteless . . even the chickens weren’t too interested in the stem ends. Since freeze drying intensifies the flavor, I’m hoping there’s some flavor in them to be intensified but . . it’s hard to intensify nothing! 🙁

Maybe there will be something the strawberries are good added to, like Vince’s shake in the morning.
