It’s a windy, chilly day here! This morning I was trying to decide if I was going to get up or keep sleeping and I heard the wind howling and, with rain in our forecast, figured I’d better get up and get Rita out before it rained. I went out and it was muggy and warm and before Rita found the perfect spot, the wind had switched and was blowing out of the north. It was 73° when we went out. We were out there probably 10 minutes and when we came back in, I went and put my clothes on, came back into the living room and the temperature was already down to 62°. Vince just went over to the shop to work and came right back. I said “Why are you back?” He said he was cold . . came in and put on sweatpants and a sweatshirt. Love this weather!!
The chickens don’t like the wind so they’re all huddled under the coop. I’m going to take a lesson from them and “huddle” inside too! Today is a good day for sitting and knitting but, in my book, every day is a good day for sitting and knitting. If it does rain, that will make it a good day for napping. So . . knitting and napping . . sounds like a great day to me!
I have a brisket that I’m going to cook in the oven today. I wonder if, according to Vince’s rules . . if the brisket cooks for 4 hours, do I get credit for having worked for 4 hours? Probably not!
Someone had posted on FB that they made a Cheeseburger Mac & Cheese and it was really good. I had a pound of ground beef out and had a package of elbow macaroni that kept showing up when I was looking for something so, even though macaroni isn’t on my diet, I made this recipe and took a couple of bites and it is delicious! I used havarti, provolone and cheddar cheese. I loved it and Vince did too. I packaged up the leftovers in small containers and froze it (real freezer) so Vince will have something he can heat and eat when I’m away. I think that recipe would be very kid friendly . . just not keto friendly!
I asked Vince . . you’re just going to go get your hair cut and come right back, huh? Yes! Yay! I don’t have to go to town today.
It’s knitting time . .

We went to Abilene and I had to take my Miss Grace because it was so cold and damp. Pat doesn’t have to go back until January to have his device checked. She said his battery is good for another 6 years! LOL Guess he has to live that long anyway!!

Sounds like a good beginning to your day! It rained all day here, and all day tomorrow, too. I’ll be driving in it, over to NC and back.
